Had the pleasure of staying here at the 4 winds the owners are very nice and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable nice TV with HD movie channels. It’s the better place to stay in the area compared to the others/neighbors! Favorite part is the hardwood floors. Who the heck would put carpet in the dessert. Less favorite part no workout room :(
Powerful air conditioning, a real blessing in the region. Good beds, clean spacious rooms, friendly staff. A nice base for hiking in the region.
I stayed here recently to see the Trinity Bomb site, which unfortunately was closed. However, I had called the hotel multiple times for questions about my booking, and what else was in the area to see instead. The staff that I spoke to on the phone were very polite and helpful, and I was able to enjoy my trip after all. The room was clean, and had a giant TV, microwave, and a mini fridge with a freezer. I also got dinner at Rosey’s pizza which is close by, and enjoyed a delicious meal with live music. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely book with Four Winds again!
Enjoyed my stay here for 3 weeks in room 18. The owner and his assistants are very friendly. Rooms stay nice and cool. Plenty of lighting. Clean fridge and microwave. Large smart tv. Comfortable bed. Water stays hot a long time. This hotel was the best part my stay here in New mexico. Very laid back and conveniently located within close walking distance of family dollars, 2 restaurants, and 2 gas stations. Best hotel in town by far.
Super clean rooms, staff always checking to ensure the most comfortable stay possible and the owner was friendly and very accommodating. Value highly overrides the price. Great facility and I'll see you next year!
This hotel has been my home for a few months because of my husband's job. And I can tell you that it's the best in terms of cleanliness and professionalism. The owners are very friendly and always treat you very well. Personally, they're always helping me with everything I need. I'm just saying that if you're looking for a spectacular, quiet, and clean place, this is the one.

I've stayed in Vaughn, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, and now Carrizozo — and this hotel tops them all. The customer service here is truly unmatched. You can tell that safety is a top priority, which means everything when staying in a smaller town. This place is a hidden gem and has officially become my favorite stop. Highly recommended!
